Hi my name is Amanda Herron and I’m the Deputy Secretary for Heart Failure Warriors NI.I found out I’d heart failure in February of this year after being very unwell for a few months. My symptoms were shortness of breath, could hardly walk, raspy cough and it got worse if I lay down.I took a heart attack 7 years ago and have 2 stents in. 

 

I was very lucky that the cardiac team down at the Lagan  Valley hospital diagnosed me quickly. My heart was only pumping at 30% it was a huge shock.
